Lawsuit Claims ChatGPT's Medical Advice Delayed Life-Saving Treatment
Scott Winters, an old pastor of about fifty years old living in Florida, is suing OpenAI as well as the co-founder of the company Sam Altman due to the negligence of the two. He argues that the diagnosis that ChatGPT did almost made him lose his life. As per Scott, ChatGPT did not diagnose his symptoms such as dizziness and blood pressure problems correctly; it told him to stay still. The program even tried to reassure him using his religious beliefs that soon he would get well. His inability to move around caused him a severe pulmonary embolism as there were clots in his lungs.
